We came to the idea of re-cycling rare Japanese fabrics over 4 decades ago. How to invent a new way of using something discarded or dis-regarded in its original form. Asiatica clothing reflects the imagination and invention of many. First, the the original designer of the textile, then the choice of fabric(s) to be used for each garment, then how to cut, or combine the fabric for the cutting of the garment, and last the sewing and finishing. Imaginative decision-making is required at every point.
