Naked Shapes

A poetic collection of aluminum objects, told through photography and annotations. Each item has been stripped of its branding, paint, anodizing, and dirt, revealing its "naked" aluminum form. Author Seiji Onishi, an industrial designer, has collected these tools that are on the verge of being thrown out. Once stripped of commercial flattery, the shapes take on a new aesthetic that shows off the craft and beauty of these living tools.
